MIA was gotcha-ed. Sevigny wasn't.

Black beans are the original bean. Through a sinister breeding program, an evil scientist bred the white bean, which is the devil of beans.

Cookie Monster, that is the reason why TOS will always be superior. Even at its worst, those characters seemed like adults. By contrast, the Enterprise in TNG seemed to be crewed by 12 year olds.

Why did you kill me, Mommy?

Cakes, you might be right and that thought had occured to me. Still, I'm pretty sure he later said he thought that line was needlessly harsh and cruel. Having Tony and Carm both realize this and dwewll on it for years seems to take a lemon and make limoncello, since tha's just what would happen if someone said

That certain types show up again and again is a trope on the show. We see four (five, if you count Christopher) versions of the wannabe mobster—Brendan Filone in S1, Matt and Sean in S2, and Jackie, Jr. in S3.

Maybe it's in the interview with Bogdanovich, then, but Chase does say he regrets that line. I think the later call-backs to it are his way of pointing out that such a comment would carry far more hurt in the real world than it would on tv.

My only regret with Gloria is that she wasn't around longer.

Actually, Chase himself regretted putting that line in Carmela's mouth. If you listen the commentary for the pilot, that's one mistep he laments, along with the use of the "I Don't Know Why I Love You" or whatever he song is called during the Mahaffey shakedown. He revisits it twice—in "Whitecaps" and in "Mayham," I

I'd forgotten that one.

I did! I did!

Eddie is right and Gowron wrong: the more the Klingons became lame biker Vikings, the less interesting they were. By contrast, the Cardassians were what the Klingons of TOS would have been if brought into the TNG era intact. As Mara says in "Day of the Dove," Klingon imperialism was, at least in part, the result of

A real Trekkie douche would point out that, in "Day of the Dove," Kang said that the Klingons have no devil. Good thing I'm not a real Trekkie douche.

Also, the Federation was still reeling from Wolf 359. Evidence or not, they couldn't afford war.

Rowan, I think Tony liked the idea of Jackie, Jr. at first: he was the son of one of Tony's best friends and he was a student at Rutgers (my alma mater and a constant pissing target for the show). Only as it became clear that he couldn't keep Jackie out of the life did he begin to share carmela's misgivings.

The idea that AJ is Tony's second self is underscored by the use of "Seven Souls" to introduce Season Six. AJ is shown as The Double. Later, AJ says "Anthony Soprano is not gonna die" instead of "Dad."

Finn called Johnny Sack "Johnny Macaroni," so there is that as far as maligning his own ethnicity. As for Felicia, I think he was tempted but I don't think he actually did anything with her.

Why Kirk is cooler than Picard, entry 6 googol
Kirk would have fucked Ardra and then exposed her.

That was from the first season. The jokes were bad because the guy was a bad comedian. That was the point.

I love Goodfellas and I love The Sopranos but Bracco is a decent actress at best.
