Yeah, I knew there would be no serious nose-cutting due to makeup difficulty for the next n seasons, but we were expecting something a bit more brutal, right?

Well, considering that most documented part-Indian ancestries start with a white man banging an Indian woman, then being willing to own up to it nine months later (having presumably been sober at least some time in between), I wouldn't expect there to be a lot of sixteenth-injun kids from disreputable (at the time)…

Steel is a combination of elemental iron (metal) and carbon (non-metal); while it's not clear whether carbon is "earth", a fair amount is in the form of iron carbide, which is as earthy a ceramic as you could ask for.

Regarding production values, I'm not quite as much of a gun nerd as I should be, but I love this show for its weapons. Besides the usual array of pistols, subguns, and assault rifles, we get nifty eyecandy like the Chiappa Rhino (an Emilio Ghisoni design, like the more famous Mateba autorevolvers) a few episodes…

I envy you. Mainlining this season blind over a weekend would rock so hard. Then again, I've been enjoying it for months, so using time-value-of-entertainment theory… something.
