And at the end of that mall trip, Michael's Wizard of Oz wishing-well monologue where he goes on about, "I wished Phyllis a plasma TV…and Pam some courage, and Angela a heart, and Kelly a brain."

I was thinking of that same "collapse in on myself like a dying star" line. It captures a lot of her character arc so well.
I love it when Kelly corners Jim by the vending machines and talks him up. Such a meeting of contrasting worlds, and his reactions are so "manage the moment and then run."
Yeah, David Wallace was one of the keys to the show working well, for sure. Very authentic as well, actually being a "business guy" in real life.
That one would definitely resonate with Kelly, either as bliss or maybe disgust.
She plays that brilliantly.
Is it okay to have a non-serious problem with her? 'Cause I have to admit that I do.
It may be a strange thing to say, but unlike a lot of other pop stars who are provocateurs, I don't think that Miley Cyrus has a plan. She seems as though she's just flailing indiscriminently for attention. That's what makes it particularly disturbing (although not surprising) in her case.
In that case, you deem the film unsuitable for your son based on its perceived dissonance with your own preconceptions, not based on it actually being unsuitable for kids.
@Medrawt Yeah, I agree that execution is everything. Marvel is doing what they do very well, for the most part. Approach does affect execution in some cases more than others, when certain characters need to be approached a certain way in order to be most effective.
You mean Wonder Woman. No.
Kneal befoah Zahd. (Sorry)
1. Very surprised. Subject was not on radar. Logic unclear.
2. Argo = Cautious optimism. (Beard required.)
3. Withholding judgement pending actual demonstration.
When I saw Manilla Road, at first glance I thought it said Mama Roach. Mama coming before Papa in the Roach family, apparently.
Three lefts make a right.
Hillary looks a lot more friendly nowadays, with longer hair and stuff.
Poehler/Offerman and I'm in. No Fey, no way.
I am an entity originating in 1983, although as a first act, not a sequel. I hope to see a musical retrospective.
I certainly don't. The whole "Episode Roman Numeral" as the street name is a prequel-era thing. Not how we used to do it. "Return of the Jedi" is a more elegant title, for a more civilized time.
Yeah, it's easy to be kind of jaded about Return of the Jedi when you go back and watch Harrison Ford hamming it up with the Ewoks, but a lot of the rest of it is really good, and it's a truly spectacular as a final act. The *original* very end with the "Yub Nub" song and the group shot is just deliriously feel-good.
