Trust me, as the parent of a two-year-old, you find yourself discovering at once just how iconic and difficult the Muppets are to draw. The weird thing is that as off-brand as they look, it often makes them somewhat more endearing. I can't explain it other than to say that.

Spider-Clones?
Crisis on Infinite Earths?
Batman pissed himself?
Rob Liefeld?

Were Owly God, could He make a Tootsie Pop so impenetrable that even He could not count the number of licks required to reach its center?

Thanks RG :) Sorry to be a downer!

@olivececile:disqus for your edification:

Wings are again this season quietly under everyone's radar. No disrespect, but I think we're long overdue for a Minny outdoor game most of all (barring the infrequency of the Heritage Classic).

After reading in the Daily News only that they had made up shirts "with an obscene name" on the back, I was trying to guess what they'd said. (I came up with "fagr," but it seems I was wrong.)

oh it doesn't matter — that whole exchange was one of the best things about the series.

@olivececile:disqus , The gay rights thing is a good stance on one position; to me that doesn't overcome dragging Elisha Cuthbert through the mud in Calgary to chirp Dion Phaneuf, for example. I think Boomer Gordon on the SIRIUS NHL channel said it best: with Avery, where's the upside? People put up with Terrell Owens

Yeah, it's been crazy. Both the missus and I were laid off *on the same day* in May. We've been scrambling for bits and pieces and getting help from the folks to get insurance paid for. I wrote just enough to make Christmas happen, but I'm going to get hammered at tax time. Something will give. Everyone's healthy, and

Yeah, who knew Richards had such a mouth? I liked him shooting down Sestito's foaming with "this is fantasy camp for you".

I loved that he hit the same level of genuine excitement when his brother arrived at the family party.

I have to say, aside from LaForest being huge in that game, my favorite play was the slot feed from Lindros to LeClair—because Kevin Weekes then excitedly delivers the replay: "this play was all started by a big up-ice hit from Mark Recchi!" It's hilarious that a guy one half-season removed from a cup is blowing up

This season, you take Hartsy. Career year. But I can agree that in years past, my buddy and I referred to him as "Scotty Doesn't Know" for all his bonehead plays.

Too predictable, I know. Shit's been busy. How're you doing?

I liked JR pulling Breezy aside and trying to give him a little pep talk. I think the weight of the contract is really burdensome to a guy who thinks about bigger-picture concepts (and is also no longer playing in a defense-first system, or even with some of the names that were supposed to be in his first and second

but in other news
Winnipeg has NHL hockey again for some reason!

I think the reason Lena Headey's been playing Cersei more close to the vest is because she needs to have somewhere to take the character throughout the series. Whether she IS sympathetic or merely SEEMS sympathetic, she needs to add the softer touches to avoid appearing like Desdemona or Lady Macbeth outright. Then

Yeah, Sam has his aetion in the later books, and he ends up being more endearing, I think, for the suffering that comes whether he's trying to do the right thing or just fade away into the shadows. He's just a guy with awful, horrible luck most of the time, and one who fails to measure up to everyone else the rest of

Ah — I thought we were in 2009…
