I don't think there's a direct connection between the look of these characters and minstrelsy but there's certainly room for confusion. Bosko, an early Warner/Schlesinger character began as a kind of hybrid between of the happy 1930s Mickey Mouse type and an African-American boy. He looked more like an amorphous

Nope. "A" is our highest rating. We gave a couple of "A+"s out and it just felt kind of wrong.

Don't bother. I'll just go ahead and say we have plans to cover their return in some fashion.

Yeah, if this were my list it would be all THREE COLORS. So very, very good those movies.

"Would that water park be what's now called The Beach, over by King's Island off I-71?"

Also…
4) As Lucas and Spielberg were prone to do at the time, there was much secrecy attached to what Howard actually looked like. (That's why the poster was so coy.) When the movie flopped in its first weekend, Howard was on Entertainment Tonight talking to Mary Hart pretty quickly.

Howard The Duck memories
I'll share them here since I doubt there will ever be another forum for them:

No kidding. I think the endoing would feel off to me even if I hadn't read the book first. They made the decision to cut it after they shot it and it feels that way too.

I've talked to plenty of people who don't get Tati. Or that it's funny in theory but not funny funny. I don't get that take, however. Love Tati.

I own it and I'm going to my parents' this weekend so I'll throw it in my bag.

Zack: Sold. I'll move it to the top of my list.

I've seen this movie. You know what happens when you give an animated chipmunk a frappucino. Hilarity.

I know. I suck. Deadlines are tight and I really wanted to get this up on time. I'm not the world's best copy editor (that's why I work with the world's best copy editors) and I know whenever I post something on my own there will be one or two groaners in there.

It's OOP, to use eBay speak. It was a good DVD, but this has some neat extra features. There's a crew commentary, the script I mentioned above, and some Hellman features where he revisits old locations and talks to Taylor for the first time in decades.

Err… Yeah. Fixed.

Context of the show with the pilot and Ep. 2 being the gold standard.

Late addition
This Fergie performing "Live And Let Die" and it's so, so bad.

The fanboy in me will probably make it a runner up. Ain't It Cool declared it the best genre year ever a while back and there's a lot to back that up. Add to the list (genre movie-wsie):
Tron
Creepshow
Fast Times At Ridgemont High

Yeah, don't be fooled. It looks like dull, by-the-book prestige filmmaking from the trailer but it's truly not.
