In my darkest moments where I've done really self destructive things, it's usually been presaged by "Fuck the world, nothing matters. This will feel good so I'm going to do it."
Maybe those idiots should have realized that using the singular identifiable symbol for Nazis would *gasp* attract Nazis. And whatever convoluted argument for what they meant the symbol to represent was irrelevant- because it turns out you can't co opt one of the most potent and charged symbols of the last century…
South Park would make fun of me for any number of reasons, most of which stemming from the fact that I care about the well being of other human beings and don't think the world is a massive black hole of shit.
You're a fucking asshole. Someone can work at Wal Mart their whole life, or at McDonalds, or run a Gas Station, and they're no less a fucking human being than you are. Maybe they do their job well and go home and spend their energy with the people they care about you "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" fuck.
There is a vast difference between taxing sodas and raising the fucking minimum wage.
So simply attempting to provoke serious thought is somehow a virtue? In
that case, you should check out some of those conspiracy docs that try
to argue that the Jews are responsible for 9/11 or other horseshit. I
assure you, they take the subject VERY seriously and really want the
audience to think long and hard about…

I'm on the Nolan appreciation side, I was just trying to think of the sort of thing we get into heated arguments about on here lol
Check out Reddit, there are a LOT of alt-right folks who fucking adore South Park.
The kids didn't, but for a long time the SHOW did.
Okey dokey.
…did you even read the article?
I dunno, we tend to care an inordinate amount about certain things. Like what exactly Alison Brie is up to right now, or whether it's okay to like Christopher Nolan movies or not.
Exactly. They fucking adored sticking it to Hilary- there's no way they'd somehow be leaving her out of the crosshairs if she were President right now.
And yet I doubt "Cripple Fight" was (nor was the episode equating Trans people with people who want to surgically alter their race or get turned into a fucking dolphin). Nor was it nominated for it's wonderful representations of kids with developmental disabilities or handicaps.
I'd be interested to hear his stories from working there, as he seems like a pretty progressive guy, and I wonder how insufferable Parker and Stone must have been…
Except neither alternative is definitively worse than the other. Both choices might not be ideal, but there was a clear difference in which candidates wanted to continue practices leading to ongoing War and other terrible practices, and which did not.
