If he loses an arm in the process of managing to juggle all three, I say its an acceptable loss.

I feel like they're softpedalling her now until all the Laural-lovers die down, and she'll have a bigger presence in S6

Alasdair's awesome.

What do you think got Ollie through that torture for so long without breaking? He was thinking of Kara, clearly.

Reminds me of Slade. They're both very different in their motivations, but both also do exactly what they say they will.

I think the issue is with actually SETTING people on fire, which is a fairly expensive/dangerous/time consuming stunt. I wish they could figure out a workaround though— CGI people on fire for like 1 second as soon as his flame blast hits them, then cut away? Could work.

Fuck I love Grant Morrison, and how he sort of wonderfully described the cycle of Camelot's repeated rise and fall in the Shining Knight bit of Seven Soldiers.

Doing rewatches of shows like TNG, Deep Space 9, and Voyager, I've come to appreciate that occasionally you'll only have like 4 good episodes in one season and thats okay lol.

I love it when they do shit like that- just to reinforce the Punisher isn't some misunderstood hero with survivor's guilt. He's a fucking psychopath who wouldn't bring his wife/kids back even if he could. Them getting murdered was the best thing that ever happened to him, though he'd never admit that to himself

It truly takes him to Punisher levels of sadism/loving killing scumbags, which in its own way makes his ultimate rise as a hero so much more compelling.

Reminded me of S2. When the flashbacks are working, really lean into them in some episodes and it truly pays off.

To be fair, the Avengers had one of the worst posters ever made. This movie will still suck, just sayin.

Whereas the plot to the Rock and Face Off are rock solid…

Who knew that's all he had to say to become invincible?

This movie makes JOHN CUSACK into an action hero. And it was clear that on this set he and Cage hooked up, and Cusack caught whatever insane disease Cage has— as he's basically been trying to to become him for the past two decades (in terms of his performances/movie choices)

Ehh there are a lot of great things about Con Air, anything associated with Johnny 23 or the gay character aren't among them.

This is like those guys who almost killed Hitler. Your friend was a hero in his own way.

And are high in Qualuudes

Love the review, but calling John Woo the "Greatest Action Director Alive" is a fucking joke. Maybe it was true in 1996, but not in 2017. I'd put the directors of John Wick, the Raid, Bourne Supremacy, and a half dozen other films up against him any day of the week.

Agreed— Check out Chris Hitchens interviewing a prominent white nationalist/son of the head of the KKK on youtube— where the subject has to dance around and equivocate and pretend he isn't a Nazi. Today he'd admit it and CNN would turn "Are Jews People?" into a fucking talking point. Oh wait THEY DID.
