Hopefully at an even more marginalized time-slot, like Saturday afternoon when most networks are playing either infomercials or live sports.

The thing about food being "authentic" is that it's an artifact of time and place and has nothing intrinsic to do with the food. Every dish was, at one point, new: the wrong technique used on the wrong food. Staples like cheese and kimchi were once bizarre experiments that would make a modern molecular gastronomer

I like to imagine that Paul Thomas Anderson was growing increasingly tired of all these retoolings of his partner's show so he decided to put an end to all of it with his sperm.

I'd watch that. I would hate myself, but it wouldn't keep me from watching.

"It's a Good Life" scared the hell out of me as a kid. I wasn't even that young of a kid when I first saw it (maybe 14 if I had to guess). I think I was just old enough to realize that kids really could be awful and young enough that I still was an awful kid myself. It's still one of my favorites.

“I am thrilled to be expanding the brand with existing fans and also engaging a whole new audience”

Or at an Italian restaurant, where they can eat lasagna… You know like Garfield… because he hates Mondays also… anyone?

Joyce: I started reading "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" in high school. Now I have no desire to read Joyce ever again.

See, I think this giant list is exactly what Will was talking about: sixteen full television series in the "must" list.

I adored it when I was younger and it was on PBS on Saturday nights. I've tried watching it again now that I'm a bit older, but it doesn't do it for me any more. A bit sad actually.

Same for me. The lack of continuity would make me think that it would be easy to get into, but for some reason the only channel that runs it on syndication only airs mid to late 2000's episodes. I've been led to believe that those are not the best ones.

@avclub-32b63dd70d870580128d83e930199e1c:disqus The whole "zombies eat brains" thing has surprisingly little basis in the seminal works of zombie fiction. I think the conception that zombies prefer brains to any other sort of human flesh comes from the kitsch surrounding zombie fiction more than any serious or

"The other side hates us because of tribalism; we hate them for good reasons." If you hate tribalism so much, you might want to reexamine this type of thinking; it reeks of the fundamental attribution error.

I hereby award you two points. Use them well.

I'll miss you Leverage. Well I'll miss the ads for it that run when I'm watching basketball on TNT. I loved all the characters: Timothy Hutton, that blonde woman that I saw play a board game with Wil Wheaton  on Wil Wheaton's board game web-series, the not blonde woman, and who could forget the black guy. They'd

You don't find many women names Delores anymore. Between Lolita, Lola and that Junior Mint episode of Seinfeld, it may be done for good. Dolly Parton probably isn't helping either.
