Like quite a lot of people who turn out entertainment for a living, some of the things he has done are quite good, while some are quite bad.  Other things he has done are somewhere in-between.

I'm with you roare—the Jim Carrey stuff was supposed to be a parody and it seemed pretty obvious that was the case.  I guess if you didn't understand that then it would have been really confusing and not so funny though.

I go to a church where these movies are heavily promoted, so I have no trouble believing that lots of people at them cry.  It's the same problem that Fox News has—preaching to the choir (pun intended).  I've tried to point out that the Christian message could be much more effectively spread by 1) making GOOD movies…

Adaptation was a great movie, and Cage was great in it.  That's really the only exception I have to the Raising Arizona comment though.
