a lot of people who didn't like the ending didn't NOT like it based on whether or not it provided answers, they didnt like it because even if there were all the answers, it was a piece of shit cop-out ending.

as i said, i dont think the characters who lived full, long lives would still value these relationships they had for like a few months more than those that they made in their entire lives with family members and friends they made in other possible intense situations. life is long.
