I really liked The Innkeepers, but not as much as House of the Devil (which is one of the scariest recent horror movies I've seen). I think I fucked up by watching the trailer for this beforehand, though. It gives away literally every scare in the movie.

I thought Ti West was fine on that episode. TJ Miller and Pete Holmes made it the most annoying DLM I've ever heard.

I guess I can understand that. The scene in the pizzeria made me dream about eating a lot of pizza.

If you got nightmares from Albert Brooks in Drive, then you've led a very easy life.

I am still bitter that Bruce from Jaws was snubbed in 1975.

In this case, he wasn't. Jonah Hill gave a better performance in Moneyball than Brooks did in Drive. Sure, Brooks has more of a history in movies, but that's no excuse for him to get a nomination this year.

I don't think Albert Brooks deserved an Oscar nomination and the Academy got it right in not nominating him. I think people were just surprised that he played a villain, but didn't realize that the villain he played isn't particularly memorable. The guy was no Anton Chigurh.

I still can't say if I think the show's good or not, but I can say that Sarah Jones has a respectable bosom.

Breaking Bad - "One Minute"
The Simpsons - extremely tough to pick one, but "Lisa's Wedding"

Even though I think Tilda Swinton gives a terrific performance, this movie, particularly when Ezra Miller as Kevin is onscreen, is kind of an endurance test to watch. I suppose that's necessary for a movie about a mass murder committed by an evil child. There were several parts, however, which I found to be false

"I'm a father, a son… a serial killer." Fuck you, Dexter.

It may have simply been the way in which The Tree of Life was filmed, but her portrayal of the character convincingly comes across as both motherly and angelic. I can't really imagine it being pulled off better. For some reason, I find that much more noteworthy than anything in The Help. I also haven't seen Take

The nominations in the film categories are actually pretty decent. It's good to see Tilda Swinton getting more recognition for We Need to Talk About Kevin. The movie isn't anywhere near excellent, but she is. Jessica Chastain playing the ditzy blonde was one of the only good things about The Help, but it's a shame

I agree, this was the best episode of the season so far. I loved it for the same reason I loved Last Night Gus earlier in the season: it brought the five main cast members together. I especially love whenever Henry gets to cut loose and actually join Shawn, Gus, Lassiter, and Jules in their investigations. Also,

"Hello, whore" is the most unintentionally funny thing on Dexter since the sound effect when Dexter headbutts Doakes in season 2.

I agree with mostly everything in this review. The episode could certainly have used more interaction between Henry and Shawn because when they talk, particularly in a serious father-son way, it leads to some great character moments like at the end of the adventure episode with the stolen gold when they sit down and

I remember buying a DVD of this movie at a dollar store when I was 14 and I loved it. I still watch it every now and then in all of its poorly-dubbed glory.

I'm only going to finish watching this season since I'm an idiot and can't bring myself to quit a show mid-season. Then I'm never watching Dexter again.

It made me laugh out loud several times, so that makes it a much stronger episode than last week's. The highlight for me was the whole padded mittens scene ending with Lassiter getting annoyed, putting them on, and quickly saying, "They are quite soft."

I wonder what Showtime is going to do for Weeds season 34 when Nancy has to start selling weed inside her nursing home.
