I think he's spot on with critique of a lot of modern comedies basically being dialog set pieces. That's not 100% bad, but it does highlight how little these bits use their visual medium.

Every Frame a Painting is the best cinema critique channel on youtube. It's amazing, and I cannot get enough of it.

Since RLM is being brought up, was there ever a good counter argument video series made? Other than the screaming faux-rage nerd kind?

"Nobody hates _____ like _____ fans."

Also, for as long as the critiques are, frequently cutting away to lengthy skits and shitty gags makes them almost unbearable. Not to mention getting used to the mush mouthed gimmick voice they use for the narrator.

While I do like the analysis, I agree that the complaints regarding protagonists come across as too academic.

Literally the post below this one is another "They do."

But what does she think of the prequels?

Naw dog. Naw.

Agreed. The over-reliance on lightsaber duels made the Force seem small, and limited. And dull.

He was fantastic in Shattered Glass.

Did anyone ever do an edit of the RLM videos that pare them down to just the analysis? I love the insight in those videos, but all the cutaways to shitty humor/weird gross metaplot make the whole thing a slog to get through.

Vigorous Apathy, then.

Goddamit, I was right in the middle of collecting enough material to do this for a blog.

She taught me how to kill a god.

Krampus is gonna be fun.

Wellp, this is all the convincing I need to marathon KITH again.

This is such a good movie. I actually really liked Hayden Christensen in it.

This was my favorite exchange of the whole episode.

It really is.
