I posted Down on the Street/Loose elsewhere before I saw your post.  Agreed!

I want to party with you, Jefflessmutt, and Little Thin Man Accused in Rob!  Saw the Sparks on the Kimono tour and they couldn't sell out even the main floor in Detroit's Masonic Temple.  Everyone crowded the stage and the Mael brothers played like it was a sold out house.

I loves me some Stooges, but for me their best 1-2 punch is from Funhouse: Down on the Street followed by Loose.

Completely agree on Roxy.  They laid out the blueprint for what was to come from that terrific band.

That was at the Eastowne! I couldn't go, but my sister's boyfriend did.  The poor old Eastowne is a burned out rubble now (cue Detroit joke).

I agree, says the man whose favorite movie of all time is Once Upon a Time in the West. …I contain multitudes!

And so is Intro/Sweet Jane!  Rock out witcha tax self…

It actually went Top 10!  I was looking for someone to post this, so thank you Groug.

Admit it: they all leave to buy their own copies!

I thought of Waits, too.  The whole of Small Change, in fact.

Please get a job writing for this show! Let me know if you need a letter of rec.

I am very afraid for Julia.  As much as I want Richard to be happy, I think her death will be the thing that sends him off the rails, turning him into the grim avenger who destroys any sort of happiness.

When Johnny was explaining the horror of Pompeii he said something about the poor bastards living next to a mountain that suddenly became a volcano.  Who's next to Johnny?  Capone.  Then Van Alden explodes.  Then Gyp explodes… or Babette's, whichever.
Johnny's line was the one I came to work prepared to talk about

Yeah, it had that I Claudius feel to it.
I was sure she'd deface him somehow (fake a gun suicide?) to make him look more like Jimmy or less like a complete person, so the bath seemed like a prelude to the coming murder.  Yikes!

I will allow it.  I love the Live '69 album too, especially the song intros.  First time I heard it (it was newly released) I'd already seen Lou 2x and he was surly to the crowd, if he spoke at all.  To hear him talk about football, local curfews, etc. with the crowd helped humanize him for me.
