I find him interesting in the fact that he seems to mainly be awful when he's alone, or the single standout creator.

I think OnlyTheKnocker's question is still valid - hopefully we're not meant to just be hitting the reset button and forgetting about the first two seasons. Unfotunately, the review watching all 6 episodes apparently means we're not getting any LOST style bullshit.

Actually, yeah, I'll give it to you, then.

Do people generally know how much the trans community hates Caitlyn Jenner? In my experience, the general cycle of thinking goes like this:

I felt betrayed that such a chipper guy could be a bald-faced liar. I would have done the exact same thing, lying out of a selfish impulse to test the waters, then babbled something to avoid fessing up when pressed.

So this was my first Star Wars, much less my first in theaters. Three spoilerish points of order:

May I make the suggestion that we just have a McElroy Corner?

That IS positivity! Nihilism is painted as such a downer thing, but the most uplifting thing I know is the thought that your existence wasn't some huge design. It's no sin to chase happiness or appreciate what you have, and a lot of humanity is free enough to be able to try to help others.

This pilot wasn't necessarily a bad time, but it was specifically the mouse-tail-stirrer that sold the series to me.

We did get those airhorns, at least.

It actually was such a turn-off that it soured me a bit on the episode as a whole, personally. Let's just sweep offensiveness off the table and look at it this way:

Ha, right - I guess my point had already been made by the damn show itself.

I'm a bit curious what's taking them so long this time, but am not exactly in a rush - they keep delivering gems. Pace barely matters when they're so consistently excellent.

Hoowee.

Nah, I follow you. I was more speaking as a viewer.

I like it in some cases, but the cases where it sucks, it sucks. It works well for some comedies, like that China, IL episode, where it's not so much a tense thing as it is getting a peek at how fucking off-the-rails Pony's idea was going to get.

I got some early R&M vibes from this episode, despite, you know, Morty getting all dark on us.

I dunno. In a sense, we are getting follow-up on that. Evil Morty is still a Morty, so we got a bit of a glimpse of what ours may be capable of. And this episode really shined a spotlight on that kid's growing trauma-induced assholery.

Beth and Jerry are those types of parents who claim to stay together for the kids, despite the kids' desire for them to stop screaming and just split the fuck up, already.

Geez, I feel bad about Morty's role in all this. That damn kid finally got some attention and friendship from Rick. This season especially, he's been really reaching for validation - I mean, I say that, but I never really bought the "seen it all" bullshit he feeds Summer either.
