I actually liked that only Jack, Sawyer, and Kate were shown in this episode. It helped make the characters seem even more isolated. Next week's episode is when I started to get pissed off. Three weeks without Locke, Hurley, Desmond, Charlie or Eko at the beginning of the season??? I was beside myself.

This scene, along with Sawyer telling Jack about meeting his father in "Exodus" and Desmond calling Penny in "The Constant" never fail to cause me to tear up. And I'm a full-grown man. All are great examples of pure hope in the face of overwhelming despair.

It's a shame to see "?" rated so low without any real justification in the review. Probably one of my 5 episodes the series ever did, with Eko and Locke's conversation in the Pearl being a highlight.
