I was floored by the second season, but I'm with you on that complaint. Losing that subplot and the weirdo twins struck me as horrible decisions before the season premiered.

OK, so I'll play FLACs off a computer. Still less expensive and more efficient than buying a turntable and vinyl records.

I do get angrier the longer it sits with me. What was the point of it? It's not like blowing up not-Coruscant raised the stakes for us. They coulda been attacking the Order's main military base at the end, with Han using the attack to find his son, and the climax would be the same. And maybe it would've given Poe

Adjusting to a Tatooine diet is not seamless, guy.

You're absolutely right.

They're just trying to help low skilled workers get better jobs than humiliating retail work. These aren't worthy jobs, and the young and unskilled will ultimately be better off without them.

This is the future, which will come faster in places where the minimum wage is doubled. Amazon's smartly using its resources to get ahead of it.

Life finds a way.

You're an optimist.

I think a lot of people are being willfully obtuse in reading his explanations, though it's not as if an old man from that era would be able to explain it/defend it in a way that sounds Good in 2016.

What a cool guy.

Dolores was programmed to "see the beauty." The last time we hear her say it is in the scripted scene on the beach.

Interesting idea, but Charlotte does not have the resources or resolve to change Maeve that thoroughly and allow personnel mortalities (unless the sec guards are all hosts, which I considered for a while). She might prove the hosts are dangerous, but it would also mean shutting down the park entirely.

Just trying to make massa happy.

Good point. I guess they could start season 2 with him free, establishing that he somehow escaped the bloodbath and got his persona back in order.

Maeve vs Dolores* seems like a natural conflict, but I don't know how they'd get there after what we've seen. Maeve is just as bloodthirsty as Dolores. They both say that the world is theirs and not the humans', don't they?

I think it was both. He programmed this all as a diversion, but also had Felix push the child question in the hopes that she will also achieve consciousness and break her programming at the end.
