Alright, guys! @avclub-808e22af6c33eea22608f30cef458844:disqus is on board with the Italian money. Someone put together a treatment, call Rob Schneider to voice the parakeet, and we'll meet back here on Monday to begin principle photography!

Oh man… yeah. Now that you said that, I have that feeling again. Not a good feeling.

In the trailer, there would be a shot of bird crap streaming down the walrus's face while he frowns and looks up. Then later, the parakeet is trying to sleep next to the walrus (they're camping, just go with it), and the walrus farts so hard that the parakeet's feathers start blowing around all over the place while he

I would probably wait in line to see that movie. Or at least a movie where the aliens did things according to logic that we can't even begin to understand.

Aw, come on now. Meg wasn't flashy, but she could keep time. Granted, Jack was doing all the heavy lifting, but it just wouldn't have been the same with a flashier drummer. It's like when the Velvet Underground got that new guy after Moe Tucker left. He was a way "better" drummer, but I don't think they were a better

I remember in some interview Steve Albini saying a band can't be successful without a good drummer. I don't agree with everything Albini says, of course, but I think it's true. Headon is extremely tight and inventive, and meshed with Simonon very well. Rhythm sections don't usually get the love they deserve…

I don't like the slowed-down style, though. Something more upbeat would've been better, IMO…

Ask and you shall receive…

@avclub-89e8c84e17ca0dc6725e8187acc2ddc6:disqus I totally forgot about that. My first wife loved that movie from when she was a kid, and made me watch it a couple of times. I immediately got the creepy vibe from it… I doubt that ending helped.

I feel like that about The Point. It has Ringo in it, songs by Harry Nilsson, but God bless if it isn't creepy and depressing anyway.

I taped 'In a Priest Driven Ambulance' and 'Hit To Death in the Future Head' from a friend's CDs onto a blank tape, one album on each side. I must have played that in my car for hundreds of hours. Good times, bro.

Yeah, it's testifying for an alternate format simply because no one else is testifying for it. Cassettes sound fine, but I think we all remember fast forwarding/rewinding trying to find a song, or usually the second side is shorter than the first side, so you have to fast forward through however much dead space to

Your mom is a decade.

I disagree. I had probably 300 casettes that I bought with money from my high school job. After four or five years, they started degrading, and I'd get this weird squealing on top of the music when I played them. Either that, or the tape broke.

It's also an anagram for 'FELT ROKER.' Maybe it's a support group for people who've pooped their pants in the White House? DID YOU GUYS THINK OF THAT!?

It's only something like 13.5% over 65, so there are some younger people not using the Internet. I guess I have mixed feelings about it. I use it all the time, but have the sneaking feeling it's a big waste of time. Except for your site, of course : )

Ah, didn't see this before posting below. It would be interesting to see that broken out by age group… if there are any adults 18-24 that don't use the internet, I'd like to know what's going on with them.

I somehow feel encouraged that 20% of adults don't use the Internet. I would have guessed something like 1%.

Yeah, I was a little surprised, too. I get the impression he's mellowed a little bit with age… now he just doesn't have time to be bothered, which is probably the best way to approach it. You can't be mad about everything forever.

Sure, kind of like t-shirts, but the threshold of what's acceptable for a t-shirt is much lower. Maybe 15 bucks for a t-shirt, but I'm kind of cheap. I've bought dress shoes at almost 100, but I realize a lot of people go way higher, even for utilitarian shoes.
