I read everything Stephen King wrote up until the end of the Dark Tower.

Peter Jackson has said that Evangeline Lilly's character is not a love interest. My guess is she's Legolas's sister.

I dunno, my experience with kids is that they LOVE The Adventures of Robin Hood if you bother to show it to them. It's every kid's I know favorite movie.

Actually, I recently re-read the book, and the monster is NOT made from corpses. Dr. F. steals corpses to study anatomy, but he creates the monster in ways that are not described, except to say the monster was a giant because Dr. F. didn't have the skill to make the blood vessels tiny enough.

On my last viewing of 'Rocky' I realized it was an extremely accurate depiction of abject poverty, while not being *about* poverty.

Just what I was thinking - but I can't imagine they would do that.

I love the Rocky series beyond all reason, and yet I can't bring myself to watch Rocky IV. I've never seen it, I never intend to see it.

Allow me to chime in, too. Brave was terrific - I hate to ask, but is all the hate because it's both girl-centric and turns the princess shit on it's head?

And who is the head of Disney animation?

She didn't 'rip it off' - she openly stated it was a homage.

Similar to the way action sequences were/are filmed. Long takes in old Errol Flynn movies (with or without stunt doubles), short choppy takes now so it's obvious no one is really doing anything except jumping on trampolines.

It presented a more realistic dysfunctional family when nearly all families on TV were made up of paragons.

I thought of that, too! Ken Berry in the Astaire part - unexpectedly delightful!

'My Man Godfrey' - rich man, poor man, rich man who cares about poor men.

When I was a kid I wished I was Julie Andrews, and then as an adult I spent 10 years as a nanny, so I sorta kinda got my wish.

The Community news is a combo of the good, the bad, and the whatever:

Well, it's nice to know I'm completely mistaken, then. That's what I get for growing up in the Bible Belt.

I'm a rare American Christian who doesn't believe in The Rapture - I think it's based on some rather dubious Biblical interpretation and weird wishful thinking - but I gotta ask, how different would the world be if all the folks who believe in it suddenly disappeared? Can't help thinking the world would actually be

Wings of Desire is my all-time favorite movie.
