@facebook-1626820830:disqus I'm sure your local library would be more than happy to receive a donation of some remastered CDs.

I actually gave up on the show when it first aired in the first 15 minutes. The last thing I wanted to watch, I thought, was a show about 20-something slackers. Jaye and her attitude just really put me off.

'Randy Scouse Git' is still my favorite Monkee song. I'm just mesmerized by it - the rapidly changing genres, Mickey's poncho, everything.

Me, too!

Good. That bastard was evil.

I spent $6,000.00 just to go to New Zealand and visit Hobbiton (OK, that's not the only thing I did, but it was the main thing).

I just recently found out Dan Fogelberg was dead, so I know how you feel.

This whole discussion made me think of the band Danny Wilson, also a great band with only a single US hit (I still play their first album ALL THE TIME).

Yeah, there are parts that are good, I will concur. But I'm of the school that kids don't deserve inferior art just because they're kids.

Dick is great, and the songs are good, but as kids' movies go, CCBB is one of the stupidest ones I've ever seen.

I did a fist pump at that line. Hah!

It's already online.

Life Goes On had one of those (Paige was pregnant, she wanted the baby, her husband didn't, she was considering an abortion, had a miscarriage). Man, I hated that. Anything that precludes a character actually having to make a decision (about anything, not just reproductive issues) raises my ire.

Catherine on 'Anything But Love' had an abortion, 'Call of the Wild', 1992.

@avclub-90a5da808b7409c044aac94d490e7f0d:disqus Not so, as far as the '3/5th rule' went. Women were counted for the purpose of taxation and representation at the same rate as comparable men. But since women were more equally distributed than slaves were, the rule gave the South an unfair advantage of political power

@avclub-6de9626e558a32ecd711aa5c2944c998:disqus Not likely. Producers normally get a cut of the BO. Not much point in being listed as producer otherwise. It's unusual for the author of the work the movie is based on to get producer credit.

So the Mormon church thinks 'passing' is an indicator of spiritual purity?

We rednecks tend to not form mobs, though. We're too drunk. Or stoned. Mary Jane is a major cash crop where I hail from.

Card's listed as a producer, so apparently he can do whatever the hell he wants.
