I hate these reviews so much it's really beginning to turn me against AV Club as a whole. I'm really sick of these this guy talking trash about a show because it's not popular with the hipster douchebag demographic. Is it because the stars aren't scrawny, unshaven and mumbly? They don't wear horn-rimmed glasses with

The show's dropped below a one share twice now. That doesn't make it very enticing to syndicators. I don't want it canceled either but something tells me they want to let the show run its course without Fox being forced to cancel it before the end of the season and this talk about a short season is the cheapest way to

I read the same stuff about renewal you guys do but I get the feeling these so-called "sources" are online message boards, especially given the sites running these stories. I also read a lot of people say it's totally bogus. None of it makes any sense from Fox's point of view and none of this is coming from them. 88

Fringe got an 0.9 rating night. No matter how you try to spin it, that's a cancellation rating. All this talk about the show getting renewed for 13 episodes for syndication is nothing but wishful thinking. Who wants to syndicate a show with those kinds of ratings when everyone who wants to watch it will just torrent

A few months back 1.2 was an all-time low for Fringe. At the beginning of the season Kevin Reilly said it had to keep a 1.5 or face certain cancellation. And now we're celebrating a 1.2 And we're celebrating flying porcupine vampires as a return to form. Which just shows how low our expectations are this season.

Can someone please fire this reviewer and replace him with someone who isn't a douchebag?

What Gnice said. This season has been terrible, and I have no idea why. I also have no idea why so many people are pretending it isn't terrible. Unless they didn't watch the two previous seasons and have no perspective on this show. Only way I can explain it.

Giving Supernatural a C- and that godawful episode of Fringe a B (people, admit it- the show lost it completely this season) is one of the reasons I can't take critics seriously anymore. It just pisses me off.

Fringe is like X-Files except without the huge ratings, the Emmys and Golden Globes etc and the cultural significance.

The one with the giant underground killer fungus ring a bell? The other one with the fungus that kills people (and the Chupacabra) too. Then the one with the killer fungus and the mysterious kid who's not affected by it in the Boston subway.

When's the last time you watched X-Files? This season is more like it than ever before.

On which Earth is this not a straight-up remake of The X-Files? Is that the Earth with the Justice Society with Power Girl and the Superman with the graying temples? Kids, this season has been ruthless in rewriting X-Files episodes left and right, backwards and forwards.

I could worship this woman.

This is the Golden Age of Who. Enjoy it.
