The fact that neither Root or Finch reacted to Reese's "death" with any sort of urgency indicated to me that it was a simulation. Finch wouldn't just say "well that's not good!" and move on, and Root would have at least made Shaw bring her back to the alley, even if she wasn't sure she could save him.

Agreed about the biological father thing.

Well it's one thing to just imagine your dark side and then have it manifest as an entirely different entity.

There was nothing wrong with the idea of it, but the fact that they felt the need to spoonfeed us the reference was irritating. And I forgive the show for a lot.

"We all imagine our dark sides worse than our real selves…but also hot, of course."

Kent's face as everyone else was crying was the best.

Was named Fibonacci. Hence the bereavement card from Ben's wife.

Seriously, she should have realized Margot was the worst "therapist" ever. As you said, therapists don't just ask factual questions like a detective.

I think they're two different Neolution experiments. The face worm is simply a tool they developed, whereas Brightborn is a nightmare of a whole different color. There's a big difference between inserting a worm into facial tissue and f-ing with embryos' DNA knowing that some of the babies will essentially be mutants.

I didn't really see it as raising the emotional stakes for her—she's a megalomaniac and clearly doesn't really connect with anyone.

And the doctor was rattling off the deformities to the nurse, and I heard something about webbing…

I would not put it past OB to have Felix's sister really be his bio sister, but also be getting paid by Gene Connection to find and monitor him and the sestras. I doubt she'd have a problem with that arrangement.

She also created him. In a lab. So she raised and engineered her boy toy.

And he's actually good at his job, which is unusual for these people.

That was my favorite line of the episode.

I'm sorry, but how did Selina not realize he was nuts at "Does a bear piss in the shower?"

I can't unsee him as Travers either.

I guess because it's an available kingdom where Magic exists. Traveling between realms has been established to be difficult, and it's easier to just take over an un-ruled kingdom than challenge other leaders.

I think this one is my favorite outfit and facial expression combo:

At least nobody will watch Braindead?
