I feel like the lashes backfired, because then when we saw her without makeup she's so fair that the contrast was really stark. And it shouldn't even need to be a topic of discussion, because she's gorgeous without makeup.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who felt that way. I was hesitant to watch because it seemed like it was trying way too hard, but the full episode was better than the promos seemed to indicate.
Wow, that original trailer is Not Good.
Okay, Mr. Pedantic, how about "show business"?
That was Lauren's mom. We haven't seen Kelsey's mom on the show.
I think the characters misinterpreting what's happening doesn't necessarily mean that the writers forgot.
No, she's not a Dark One. They got rid of the darkness and then Rumple absorbed it to become THE Dark One again, because he sucks.
Oh yeah, it was Tyrol. I can't see him as anything other than Tyrol at this point, so I was watching it thinking "uggggh, go die already, moron."
I agree with all of those points!
A) Liza's daughter's name is Caitlin
Yessss. I don't always relate to Diana (although even when I don't, she's still funny) but on this one I was cringing in recognition.
Do any other "millenials" get frustrated with the way we're portrayed on this show?
I think it's a great casting. He's a great actor even when he's not being campy. The looks he was throwing at Shapiro when he told him he was working pro-bono were masterful.
I'm a 20-something but I was surprised by Lauren's outrage. The sculpture wasn't being covered with toxic waste—it was being used to hold couture clothing. I didn't see it as so insulting.
That completely went over my head too, but now that you mention it I appreciate the writers' intent.
They are so cute! I think John Stamos should be required to work with children in all his future projects because he clearly brings out the best in them.
"they think this blue goo can trigger a new stage of evolution for humanity"
Even though we can't be sure, I definitely got an "ugh, we can't kill the boss' daughter" vibe from the women who ordered that Julie be spared.
Beyond ruthlessly practical, I'm guessing he's kind of a narcissist, since he's named Jules and he named his daughter Julie. I bet he's one of those parents who always saw their child as solely an extension of themselves, and not an individual.
I haven't read the books and I never thought it was real. I figured the radiation was making him hallucinate.
