Two theories:
Two theories:
Why would Bay going to California with Emmett mean them breaking up? Not that I want her to just follow him around, but I think it could be good if she goes to a nearby school and does her own thing.
Yes! Yes to this on so many levels. Daphne gets treated the way Lily described her brother being treated. When she gets herself into a jam, everyone else is all too happy to help her out of it, instead of forcing her to clean up the mess.
I think the show is leaning a little too heavily on the dramatic irony in Daphne's storyline.
Instead of making assumptions, she really needs to just talk to, I don't know… anyone . Outside of 2 minutes with Melody and 5 minutes with John and Bay, she's been completely isolated since Angelo died. She needs to get out…
I think Irisa and Nolan would have found a way to distract the Gulanee because the two of them have a strong rapport and they work in tandem.
I think he was so relieved that she wasn't upset with him or having trouble readjusting after her mission that it superseded the shock.
That will take place in the last minute of the episode.
Denial and anger are the first two stages of grief—it's totally natural.
Regina lashed out too, and Kathryn forgave her immediately because of the situation. Emmett has also treated Bay much worse about problems that are less serious than a dying parent, so I think he completely got the fact that she was acting out of…
I don't think they did it out of practical necessity—I think this is the story the writers want to tell. It opens up new directions for them to take with the characters.
And for extra humiliation points, it always has to occur in front of Amanda.
It was a classic foppish British guy vs. American tough guy/jock moment.
I thought about this too, but I think it all boils down to not wanting to go to jail for murder. Datak may be a murderous psychopath, but that doesn't mean the laws don't apply if someone kills him.
YES. Watching Berlin kiss him after he acted like a whiny brat around Nolan was really strange too. You'd think she would find that behavior a turn-off.
Maybe Christy was scamming him and he finally was piecing it together, so she hired a guy to "take care of" Angelo. Or not.
I wouldn't buy it for a second. Kathryn's reaction to the call spoke volumes—she was sad, but not distraught the way she would have been if it was one of the kids.
I don't think it was meant to be cheap misdirection; I think it helped frame the character moments, by adding immediacy to what was happening.
In season 1, Daphne said "The day before your whole life changes forever, feels just like any other day" (I had to look it up). I think that's the idea behind the in medias res…
I believe it falls under "comic irony," which I also get a kick out of.
Gallaudet's pre-med program might not be great, or as extensive as others.
I like Regina, and I think she's usually a good foil to the Kennishes, especially John. However, the way she treats Bay isn't right. She's never actively worried about her, and she hardly sees her. Instead of embracing Bay, she's still focused on sharing Daphne.
I don't know if they have a grand scheme.
