I think if you could get past the Father Callahan aspect of Wolves, it might rank a little higher on your list, I certainly enjoyed it a bit more than Susannah.

Blaine is a pain and that's the truth.

sez you.

Even the last book contained major swaths of great reading, and I found it somewhat fitting that the series itself seemed to be disintegrating in the same way its universe was.

I like the whole series (so far; I haven't read the one reviewed yet), and books 2, 3 and 4 is a pretty good stretch…I wouldn't say that W&G is the best of the bunch, but it does rank highly, if only for the opportunity to see young Roland in action, how the relationship with Cuthbert and Alain worked, and seeing that

Fair enough, GF, Mr. Noble is a fine enough reason to check out this show, and you're right about the five-six eps a season being compare.

The Watcher has to hold forth in the library at least once an episode.

Okay, but really, if the pseudoscience bugs you so much, why are you still watching this show (and Doctor Who, for that matter)? Forgive me if you've answered this in the past, but come on, why are you still here?

Oh, I am most pleased, this is the first show in a long time that I've watched and dug on a weekly basis from episode one, and I get to see it all the way through to the end. Noel Murray's recaps were a good part of the reason I stuck around, as were the commentariat here, even the ones who complain at every change

Anyone else getting a Louis CK vibe off of the press secretary guy?

I think Bell's death was mentioned, but this doesn't preclude shapeshifter tech being involved.

I've had a long standing crush on Blair Brown, ever since Days and Nights of Molly Dodd (which I watched before Altered States), and have to admit, the silver hair made her hot again.

As noted below, echoes (no pun intended) of Dollhouse's Epitaph 1 and 2.

Except that Desmond/Simon (I think) said something like "I remember when we used to be able to drink this stuff" about the coffee chews…

Two points where I'm with him:

After all of this experience with Fringe, it seems that they rarely introduce something as large as "let's team up members of both universes to solve cases" without a major payoff.

Not normally a 'shipper, but if Alt-Lincoln dies and OurLincoln gets Fauxlivia, I'm giving you the credit, Prickhard (or whoever came up with that idea).

Also, an entirely unhealthy obsession with lupins.

So, yeah, Rachel is whiny and manipulative and blahblahbitchcakes, but Brendon isn't really helping matters at all. His comment at the end saying that she's reacting to his being mean is just facepalm inducing.

It's a classic quasi-dysfunctional military marriage, as has been noted above.
