Eek, this is where I'm outed as a semi-hypocrite as I'm early-nineties born and so didn't see the eighties either. Still that doesn't take away my right to dislike anyone who thinks the eighties were the be-all and end-all.

Believe it or not there are teenagers obsessed with 80s hair-metal and dress in that way and always go on about how cool the eighties were and how they wish they were around then. They're real-life personifications of those youtube comments.
