Between this and Arrested Development season four I've decided to never again complain about broadcast network time constraints.

Exactly.   Saying a beautiful woman can't be a hacker is sexist shit, but saying that Skye at any point look like she actually lived in a van, even by television standards, is ridiculous.

The problem isn't that it's a procedural it's that it is a shitty one.  The acting is poor, the writing is bad, the staging/lighting/directing suck compared to other procedurals.  The only other procedural I currently routinely watch, Bones, looks like The Wire compared to this total misfire. The vitriol is totally

It's as good as her actual acting, so in other words it sucks.

You'd skip this for SHIELD?  It's not great, but SHIELD is terrible.

"When you're here, we kick out your family."

Exactly @avclub-954aef1dd01f3d3bb8e12966116cfdd1:disqus The show sucks so I expect more erosion in its numbers.

I have to agree.  The only positive I've seen so far is that I usually hate Max but he's great with Hank.

That sounds like a perfect description of seasons 4-6 of Parks & Rec to me.

Eh, Parks isn't really any good anymore so it could easily be skipped just like the other three shows.

B-?  Jesus christ, this was terrible even by the low standards set by the train wreck of a pilot.

Yeah, Crews is absolutely amazing.  I've loved him ever since Everybody Hates Chris.

Yeah, you watch this premiere and it's like "Emmy three-peat incoming? I think so."

Great pilot.  I look forward to watching this every week.  Caplan and Sheen were as great as I expected them to be.

Yep.  A B+ from me as well.  An episode this good is exactly what the show needed after the back half of season two.

Yeah, that was probably my favorite scene of a pretty weak season premiere.

It never really got good.  In fact one could easily argue that in terms of television shows Joss Whedon has been on a downward trend for his entire career.  Buffy>Angel>Firefly>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Dollhouse.

The great production values and mostly great acting are all that keeps me watching.  The writing has always been weak and the show clearly has nothing to say.

Yeah, they usually go for no drama at all.

Whether you're talking about Lost, Cowboys & Aliens, Star Trek: Into Darkness, or Prometheus the Lindelof name is a signifier of great quality.
