between the 1 percent and the 2 percent."

I know her son was just murdered, but Beth was drinking wine while pregnant…not healthy.
Sadly no burning boat in this episode.
"I want to know everything in the world about Lawyer Paris Geller
(Bonnie, for those unfamiliar with my pet names). But for now, I guess
she’s only around for icy glares and lines that hint at her evil
geniusness."
"- Does Lance ever really believe it when he says the cops "got this"?" I think at this point for Lance "cops" are code for "my boy-crush Arrow".
I thought this episode was frankly fantastic. Sure, Laurel's grief is taken over by laying the seeds for her to take the Black Canary mantle but I think the show did a good job with it. Plus, I felt like every member of the cast was bringing their a-game.
Are you satisfied in life?
Hmmm…I think it's safe to say that Black-Ish is the best new fall comedy. It might be the best new comedy of the season but hey, I think Galavant has a shot.
Can we please stop getting stories with Cam as a football coach? We rarely get workplace stories on this show and to have it happen for a second week in a row on this show and once again, the story was very weak. Also the scene where Lily was like "I'm bullied" and I was like "yeah, any humor just left the show."
It's sad that in 2014, pieces like this are still needed.
Except it's not hot and the lezbo action is actually happening with the Fish Mooney story.
I think I remember that happening once. I don't remember what show it was but some character tried to ruin the happiness of a couple by spilling a secret and the guy was like "yeah, I've known all along." The girl was, I believe, surprised he knew.
Eh, to be fair, telling a critic to "just relax, and enjoy it" is to ask the critic not to do his job well. When you're paid to analyze a show, you have to take it on some level more seriously than anyone else.
The problem isn't that a show can't have more than one tone but the criticism comes because the balance between the tones isn't done well.
Right. I'm sure you're a bright individual so take any Batman comic and try to craft a good Gotham story out of it. It can be done but it's not as easy as you seem to think it is unless you're some kind of genius writer in which case why not pitch the story to the producers?
Well considering how Gotham is all about what happens before those seventy years of Batman stories, I'd say it's more difficult than that.
Well this episode was an improvement but now that we're reaching the sixth episode, I'm soon going to stop grading this on a curve.
Especially the flirting with Abby.
I agree with the B grade. It was a solid entry with some pretty great scenes but ultimately, it wasn't as strong as this show can be. Oh well.
This show just keeps getting better and better. Obviously this is the kind of show that will eventually go off the rails (Scandal, The Vampire Diaries) but it's a thrill ride while it lasts.
