All Stroh's Bohemian Pilsner at my local last night; didn't touch Bell's Two-Hearted once and I'm irrationally proud for diversifying in such a manner.

Congratulations!

Frying some chicken this evening, probably; I'm getting used to it more and more as "just a thing I do," which would have seemed unthinkable a few months ago.

Hooray This Shit

There was a plainclothes ICE raid on a restaurant in town in which four kitchen workers were rounded up; at least one was released but I'm not sure what happened to the others, as there's been little to no information otherwise. Speaking, not only as someone who's worked in the local industry for fifteen years, but

Yeah, this has actually usurped his appearances in Night Court for me.

Harry's interactions with Mac were always gold; they both seemed to have the same anthropological joy in the incessant weirdness with which they were faced (best of all the incredibly slow-moving guy suffering from "tortoise nervosa" who wound up costing Dan his Army sex experiment with Judy Landers*).

"To me, John Larroquette was the alpha and omega of Night Court."

I loved the show, but he was easily the best thing about it.

Apparently there was a character in Mike Nelson's Death Rat (which I haven't read) who decided to live a survivalist life off the grid because he'd happened across an episode of Night Court.

Gah; I just got the first series from the library and was all excited to watch this weekend. Eh; at least it'll be easier to catch up, I guess (same with Manhattan, some of which I actually saw).

Weird; one of my co-workers has been playing the Allman Brothers for the past few hours. I'm not sure if he knows yet.

I liked Saucer Country! I might have to give that a look.

Now I'm a lot less sure.

I'm torn between that second panel being a perfect embodiment of apparent character (this is the first I've heard of Fante Bukowski but the phenomenon's instantly recognizable) and a lazy, inept deployment of an old pop-culture reference. I know that's not what you're talking about, but I wonder if the ending as is

Many sympathies on the dating front; I've decided to basically give up for now, at least when it comes to OKC. Maybe I'll give it another go once autumn rolls around. My mind's kinda on other things right now, like work worries and artistic procrastination.

Didn't think I had anything, but just grabbed Conan the Slayer from my LCS.

Really sorry to hear this; heartfelt condolences.
