I would eat gummy bat heads.
I would eat gummy bat heads.
David Brent's poetry.
I have a hard time buying her as as stripper. She looks like one of the rich suburban trophy moms from my high school. Granted, some of those women could have been strippers in the past (one was a former Playboy playmate), but they didn't continue to be strippers into their 40's.
Cassette Store? You mean the Salvation Army?
I have a huge crush on Martin Freeman, but I'm not really feeling that moustache. Hmm. Nevertheless I NEED AN AIR DATE BBC.
"I feel so social." This is one of my favorite episodes, and I've referred to facebook as friendface ever since.
Lots of stuff already mentioned here, especially World's End, Elysium, Janelle Monae and Neko Case. But I'll bite the bullet and say Nymphomaniac. Yeah, I know. Sometimes I hate myself.
I have a friend who really wants me to go with her to the Houston show. If I can snag tickets, fine, but I'm not frothing at the mouth for this like I would have been in high school 10 years ago. Honestly, part of me wishes Jeff Mangum had stayed a recluse.
I'm curious to know if the crowd is more hipster than the time I saw Tim and Eric live.
I bought a couple shirts from them in high school, followed by a trip to the thrift store. I remember my mom saying she couldn't tell which shirts came from where.
The book is probably insufferable, but I thought the movie was very well done. Logan Lerman had to walk a very fine line in being awkward and vulnerable without coming off as needy or twee, and he knocks it out of the park. Ezra Miller is fantastic as well. AV commenters shit all over it but never bothered to see it…
If I recall she described this era as her "Joan Crawford on acid" look.
That's a good one. I'm torn between "Broken Homes" with Tricky or the Stones cover with Bjork.
That's tough. I'll go with "Ecstacy" and "The Dancer"…for now.
I finally got into that album and loved it. The work she does with John Parish is great.
I had no idea he voiced Abe Lincoln in Clone High! I always liked him, but now I'm totally swooning.
Finally watched that movie the other day. My face hurt from laughing.
Madonna had better songs and was/is much, much more articulate than LG, who just rattles off non-sensical word salad in an effort to sound intelligent. I think LG tries to crib more from Grace Jones or Roisin Murphy, who are also far more fashionable, interesting, and creative. LG is like the edgiest music you can buy…
That photo makes me cringe. I kind of miss the days when rich white girls stuck to *NSync, flat iron hair, Abercrombie, and the mall instead of trying to pull off their idea of "punk rock". These girls are about as edgy as rugburn.
Also, can anyone recommend some really creepy graphic novels to me? Something in the vein of Black Hole.
