Villagers' {Awayland} is really good, I like how it's a concept album that's not too obvious. And the orchestration is interesting, I seem to find new things every time I listen to it. I'm surprised the AV Club haven't championed them, as they make furrowed brow music with intelligent lyrics, all that stuff y'all go

The only thing I really miss about being in a relationship is having someone to cook for. I live alone, so my meals are mostly simple things like tacos or crackers with cream cheese and bacon jam (sure, that counts as a meal). On the rare occasion that I cook something substantial for myself, I get sick of the

Ugh, I'm named after "Sister Christian". On a possibly related note, my father is a raging alcoholic.

Uhhh AWESOME. Hope they don't forget the south when they add further tour dates. Buuut they probably will.

I read Sick Puppy ages ago, but I recall enjoying it quite a bit. I like the broad, realistic way he presents Florida.

Much like McDonald's fries and BBQ sauce, the show is addictive despite its flaws.

I'm reading Music for Chameleons by Truman Capote. Parts of it make me wish I were poolside in New Orleans, sipping on a mint julep. I'm on "Handcarved Coffins" right now - it's engrossing, but I'm having a really, really hard time believing it actually occurred. The events of In Cold Blood wouldn't make national

Really? Eye of the beholder and all that, but to me she looks like a factory defect Real Doll.

Yeah, it's too bad there is very little chance of her not becoming a colossal asshole as well.

"You wear too much eye makeup. My sister wears too much. People think she's a whore."

"Huey's too black-sounding for me."

I saw it at a midnight showing about 10 years ago (but had seen it several times before, it's one of my favorites). For some reason these drunk frat guys who had never seen it were in the theater. They were traumatized. It was amusing.

Aww, I just saw Clueless at a midnight showing this past Friday. Good times. "What's with you, kid? You think the death of Sammy Davis. Jr. left an opening in the Rat Pack?"

Here's hoping some of these bands stop off in Houston prior to ACL. Come on Neko!

Yeah, he's oddly efficient. Bought a house, car, and is putting his girlfriend through school with all that dirty money.

Albini looks exactly like my big time drug dealer friend in that photo. It's weirding me out.

Ahh, that would be great!

I discovered Villagers, and am a better person because of it. I'm not normally too into folksy stuff but I love the darkness in a lot of O'Brien's lyrics.

I used to like him way back in the Loveline (TV show) days when he was less fame-whorey. Or maybe I'm just romanticizing the past and he was always a douche.

Zach Braff was never cool.
