I loved 1408, I thought it was one of his best short stories. But the "Haunting in Connecticut" movie was supposedly really bad. I should check out the film adaptation of 1408, I love me some John Cusack.

How funny, I just mentioned that story scaring the shit out of me in the "Scariest Reads" thread. I haven't seen "Haunting in Connecticut" but I heard the movie version of "1408" was decent. So I guess I'm only halfway disappointed.

Her monologues and jokes are consistently awful, but I have to say her interviews with celebrities are decent. She gets people who can usually be quite boring PR-wise (ex: SMG) to relax, laugh, and open up. Probably because talking to her is like talking to some drunk chick at a party.

Agree. Celebrity Skin is one of those albums that I always forget exists, but "Use Once and Destroy" is pretty great. I'll always love Live Through This and Pretty on the Inside. My Body the Hand Grenade is pretty good too, I love the live version of "Drown Soda".

Oh sure, there were tons of fierce as hell female rockers in the 90's - Donita and Courtney are both examples. But Courtney usurped that kinderwhore look that makes a fun Halloween costume. :) And I can get as fucked up as I want and still be in character.
