you are not alone on that island, friend. i love broken arrow… n fact loose change is one of my favorite neil young songs. i saw 6 shows on that tour (year of the horse). still some of my favorite concerts ever. the 20+ minute strobe light and feedback freakouts on like a hurricane were mind blowing every single

an amazing album, and perhaps neil young and crazy horse's last truly great one. have you ever seen the promo video that warner put out? if not here's a taste:

oh no, the poor aged, infirm, and handicapped! you know who's really defenseless? children! let's arm them too!

how much do you want to take his life? i could throw in 20…

pound it in the hole!
as someone who has recently rediscovered basketball, i spent the tournament laughing my ass off at the overly sexualized nature of the color commentary. last night someone got a reach around, had their ball stripped, and was penetrated, right there on national tv!

i just spun "lola vs. the powerman" the other day…it's a great record. i'd check that one out if you haven't already.

um, we're on the internet. if you are being nice to people and treating them with common courtesy then you're doing it wrong.

jordo, i could not agree more with you about frank black. "black letter days" was the one for me….just kept getting better and better, and it finally completely clicked on a road trip to vegas.

i enjoy good music made by musicians who are passionate about making good music.

here, i'll help. from l-r: dead, alive, dead, alive, dead, but suspended upright by an internal frame of cocaine

no, meg is not a good drummer. she cannot keep a beat. i mean, i bang around sometimes and it's not exactly easy if you're not a natural, but she just did not belong behind a kit at all.

well, i'd have at least one stupid story about seeing them live that no one would give a fuck about, but the show was cancelled due to the bad time keeping tatas' "anxiety problems".

todd snider is damn good
that's really all i wanted to say. i have been a big fan of his ever since i was given a bootleg of a 2001 show from the handlebar in north carolina. he does an epic version of "moondawg's tavern" where he talks about digger dave from homer, alaska. he also does the version of "devil's

the ITS man is_____

i mostly agree with this, penguin. however, i still think that "somewhere between heaven and hell" is a stone cold classic.

i like mm too. i'd probably pick "mother earth" from ragged glory.

and boniva

side effects may include blue balls

i have just gotten into the king as well. i checked out a dvd from the local library and it had a couple of songs from "that's the way it is". i now have that on hold and i can't wait to see it.

oh yeah, the feelies! i won their first 2 albums (the reissues) and a 7" from a local radio station. didn't know a damn thing about them, and ended up playing those cds for months in my car. i LOVE their cover of "everybody's got something to hide except for me and my monkey".
