I liked this episode and it cannot POSSIBLY be just because I love Doctor Who. I am getting really confused by the negativity so many critics have shown it.

…and I really didn't want to break my longstanding tradition of pretending Carson Daly doesn't exist.

I really enjoyed it, and there's so little good sci-fi that even completes one season, so I'm thankful for NBC for that, anyway. And really, it's better as a one-off as the ending  works quite well.

This ep was written by Megan Ganz, who has been with the show since S2.

and it'd be right in line with what 30 rock was pulling too.

I don't think I'll be able to take it if they pull it. I wanted a s5 sure, but if we can't have that, after all the waiting we've done and the terrible machinations they've directed at the show, to pull it from the schedule… That kind of aggravation will COMPLETELY sour me on NBC (and just make me boiling mad).

It's kind of amazing: *everything* NBC does fails miserably. Especially their attempts to kill off Community.

The incepting was so well done too - I initially missed the fact that AbedTV!Jeff was making the speech, so was jarred (and amused) with actual Jef'f's reaction to Abed being okay again. Abed really can write a good Jeff.

I *really* don't want to leave her. It's just so pleasant and you can be crazy here it's accepted. Also, the regular commentators don't know this place exists (or are scared of it), so it's safe, I guess.

It's pretty funny if surely different than the podcas . They have a bunch of one-off bits and whenever Paul F. Tomkins is on, you know it's gonna be great. The David Wain ep was especially good if you're fond of him. Oh, and Gillian was in a very funny bit the first episode, I think.

Yeah, I couldn't think of anything else they had either. But with ratings like that, they'd surely be on the road to losing to the CW (if that network had original programming at 10). I guess they're lucky (?) in that respect…

how can do no harm stay on the air past next week?

Whoa, REALLY didn't expect that. A pleasant surprise indeed (especially since I enjoyed the episode).

I don't expect great things from the premiere either. Biology 101 had great things in it (Cougarton Abbey! Spacetime!) but is not close to a favorite of mine. The only premiere I've really enjoyed was S2's anyway (of course the pilot was very good but it's not one I go back to a lot).

You'd have to be a monster to be upset with Ganz, and I would hope we'd be better than that. She's pouring her heart out for us!

NBC is really returning to the network I recognize and mostly dislike.

The puppet thing gave me pause, but I still remember how funny 30 Rock was when they did it, so maybe it'll be all right. More surprised really about the fact they seem confident about s5 (well, as confident as anyone who works for NBC can be). Lines up with what Todd said before, too.
As for the Annie thing, Yvette

When she raised her hand in the middle of her story and hesitated, that was just the best.
