This is very true.

That whole "female version of Abed who likes him but he doesn't get it" is exactly the kind of dumb, cliche sitcom element that the old show would've stayed miles away from.  It was cringeworthy from beginning to end, despite the awful attempt to hide it under some hackneyed trope plotline.

I never understood the hype around these guys.  First Issue was okay at best.  Even Metal Box is solid but insanely overrated.  I would still kill for a reissue of the original packaging though.

It's articles like this that kept me from submitting a Newswire piece yesterday.  Even my best writing would be an embarrassingly huge step down from O'Neal's work.

As a former New Girl Fan of the Week, I feel obliged to say that you, sir, are incorrect, and most likely judging the show based off of the first few episodes.  Which, admittedly, were rather obnoxious.

Ugh.  No.

It's easy to forget that their first two albums really were pretty decent.  I'm always hesitant to use the phrase "sell out," but how else would you describe "Use Somebody"?  They just completely abandoned their original sound for soulless arena rock.

I'm a complete asshole about music, but I absolutely love this album.  And I cannot convince anyone that I'm listening to it unironically.

This is the first episode this season that actually felt like the old Community.

I can't tell if this song sucks because it's truly terrible, or because I'm just not 14 this time around.

I really, really liked it.  More than FutureSex, even.  Just incredible production from beginning to end.  I even came around on "Suit and Tie," which I heard on SNL and hated.  I cannot get it out of my head now.

Yawn.  Future Bible Heroes is easily Merritt's worst side project, and none of these guys have put out anything decent in a long time now.

I want nothing more than to makeout fight with a pretty lady.

Unreal.  It seems like just yesterday I donated to his rehab fund.  All the updates coming out seemed to be hopeful…fuck.  I don't know what to do with myself right now.

Okay.  I seriously need to stop reading the AV Club when it comes to Community, because it's going to drive me completely fucking insane.

I never would've guessed Big Boi would have a better solo career than Andre 3000.  Or that Andre 3000 wouldn't have a solo career at ALL.  (Not holding out much hope for his supposed album.)
