Had a discussion yesterday about how Peavey is the "hillbilly Marshall," in reference to someone's ill-advised purchase of a Peavey half-stack. Most of my gear is sold, but does anyone else around here like Electro-Harmonix pedals? Some of them are pretty limited, but damn do they sound good, especially the Small

Hear hear.

The Frogurt is also cursed.

Dead Ringers also has my vote for Cronenberg's best film. The dual performance, the cinematography (making everything look kind of like an aquarium), the creepiness, the tragedy. Definitely one of my favorites, I await that NCC entry with bated breath.

I agree with Damone. And their debut fucking rocks.

I was at the show. It still left me kinda cold.

Despite my aforementioned enthusiasm for Mountain Side, which I really wanted to hear and was very good, the concert on the whole was very disappointing. WAY too much banter, not enough songs, Wayne really struggling on vocals, too many singalongs. I was so jazzed for Write the Night until I realized the songs

Their monitors died right before they did Two Weeks and they decided to continue rather than make people wait. I agree that one was really disappointing. The rest of the set was good though. And you're right about the guitar sound, unique and awesome. Really enjoyed Little Brother.

Mountain Side. That is all.

Transmissions from the Satellite Heart, also a second on Priest-Driven Ambulance. I like the more recent lush stuff a lot too, but Transmissions is full of great noisy pop songs.

Interviewing HST
I can think of a few things that would be more nerve wracking, but it's a very short list.

Saw Michael Gambon play Falstaff in back to back productions of Henry the IV Parts One and Two over the course of an afternoon and evening with a two hour break. Here's the drunkenness breakdown:

Will Smith wakes up…
…and he takes it to the MAX. EVERY DAY.

Boy I sure am douchey for liking the things I like and not liking the things I don't, just like everyone else on here.

Near Dark
It's been mentioned above but consider this a formal petition - The bar scene from Near Dark. Please. PLEASE.

The opening notes of that song are a running joke between me and my friends.

Ooh! Hum. That's some good shit. Was it the album with "Stars" or was it Downward is Heavenward? The latter is the superior album, though "Stars " is a great song.

Fuck yeah, I did Link to the Past the honest way, too, when I was like 11. Took me a while, but I savored the fuck outta that game.

Oh Shit
You did not just diss the Breakfast Club.

"Earned Shyamalan the worst notices of his career to date."
Including the Happening?
