This episode was at a 1.1 and got adjusted up to a 1.2 in the Demo ratings. On a night where basically everything was reruns, Community placed 3rd in its timeslot just ahead of ABC's Zero Hour and a repeat of Vampire Diaries on CW. Still alive.

I'm willing to follow it to the end just because I love the cast and crew. But I know what you mean when you say you're "working to enjoy it".

Aaaaand we got adjusted up to a 1.2! (beating Zero Hour in the Demo and placing 3rd in the time slot for demo)

And just for context, Semi-bored torontonian (commenter below) really doesn't like most of Season 4 Community, so you can trust her judgement about the first 3.

CW over NBC next year. Calling it now.

I would've liked that better if there was any context to it to prepare me for it. The joke would've been very confusing to someone who didn't know Shirley's Sandwich Shop was already a thing; and honestly we haven't even been to her shop yet so it was still a bit odd. Still a good bit though.

Yep. That Todd episode really bugged me (and so did the Starburns episode). I'm just disappointed they continued to run with it.

Annie's line into the commercial break along the lines of "We thought they were the Germans, but it turns out… we're the Germans!" seemed really out of place to me. It's the fake sort of suspense you'd expect in other shows… just not this one.

I really really really really hope Chang somehow regresses back into his sarcastic slightly-depressed Spanish Teacher (complete with his own classroom) self and simply skips over the whole insane student/security guard/overlord/sociopath part. I like that they're addressing his mental illness, but I have a feeling I'm

I might actually dip below to a C- just in context of the show's history. Probably going to end up being my least favorite :/

This episode just felt like it was weighed down by its conceptual theme. I feel like if it existed in Season 1 where Community was shot and structured more like a typical sitcom this would've been a fyne episode. Once the whole text-on-screen, dramatic music, and Hogan's Heroes talk started going I started saying

I forgot Community was on tonight. I'm such a good fan.

See, this is why you're smart and I'm not.

Ahh… the plot thickens…

HAHAHAHAHA

For shit's sake.

(not watching it till tomorrow… not watching till tomorrow… must resist…)
