"Carson once said Chevy 'couldn't ad-lib a fart after a baked-bean dinner'"

@avclub-f62296b9393b6ab9229ebde91ed8469f:disqus : I don't know, I really doubt all of these stories (
http://www.huffingtonpost.c… ) are invented or exaggerated. Chevy Chase is just a huge asshole.

Team Everyone Who Has to Work With Chevy Chase and Dan Harmon

Especially since the accusations Chase is making about the show aren't just out of nowhere insane. I don't agree with his assessment, and I'm aware of Chevy Chase so I know he's a huge asshole, but I can see some people listening to his criticism and going, hmm, he's got a point! And so if you're Dan Harmon, why

What's great about Freaks and Geeks is we get the standard stuff like that—boys and their boy feelings of liking a popular girl who likes someone else, blah blah, it's well done here but still common—but then there's also the stuff with Lindsay and Nick. It's nice to see the perspective of the girl who a sweet, nice

"You know, there are worse ways to go, but I can't think of a more undignified way than autoerotic asphyxiation."
"Why are you telling me that?"
"Look, forget I mentioned it. It's none of my business."

I'll write the sequel tomorrow; tonight I can't hold a pen.

Given his long and well-documented history of treating female coworkers horribly, eh, maybe not

No, they're a member of Steely Dan

Chevy Chase telling Dan Harmon "you're going to live to be 57 if you're lucky" reminded me of that; the way that not exaggerating the harshness somehow makes it even harsher. "No talent" and "you're gonna drop dead in a week" can both be brushed off, but their insults are true enough to really get under the skin.

My favorite part of the HuffPo interview is where he talks about how he has advised Alison Brie that she should do more than just sitcoms.

Must have been some real acting for him to play an intoxicated, bigoted asshole prone to obscene tirades

Fingers crossed for Roger to make a fart joke about the name "Tradewinds"

Arrested Westeros is good too, some of them work eerily well

Given the Rolling Stones/diet pills combination I was ready to look up what year "Mother's Little Helper" came out, but then I figured that might be just a bit too obvious for them

Everyone's mentioned most of my other favorites so I'll add "Irresistible," which I think of whenever I buy shampoo (for color-treated hair)

Beyond the Sea is also the ep that convinced Chris Carter to keep Gillian Anderson, or at least I remember hearing that at some point. he'd been thinking about replacing her so the writers came up with a Scully-centric episode to let her shine. (Again, I at least remember hearing/reading this somewhere)

Maybe he's pretending to be the same age but using the real Draper's DOB?

You're not too bright, are you? I like that in a man.
