Solaris is the most boring load of excrement I've ever had the misfortune of sitting through.

I was not a huge fan of HC, was a little disappointed, think it's overrated, etc… Not much of a contribution to the dialogue, so I kept mum.

Cool. I luuuurved it!

You are the King of hairsplitting pedants.

Like clockwork, mention Tark and out comes the troll.

How was Whale Rider received in NZ, Agog?

Crumb, Reversal of Fortune, Being John Malkovich for me.

According to the 'nets: "formed from the Danish words "LEg GOdt" or "play well". Later on it's realized that in Latin the word means "I study" or "I put together"; an ironic coincidence that follows the toy through the decades."

You really expect us to be familiar with Danish plurals? Really?? Once would have been too much.

Oh THAT Beau Travail (musta been thinking Beau Geste, doy!). Yeah, lotsa sweaty soldiers. For Denis, that seems to be enough.

Though I hated Lovely Bones, it is perfect matter for PJ. Such an odd blend of oogie creepiness plus sentimentality.

To the Kiwi commenter above: Sure The Piano was melodramatic drivel (god! I wanted to smack that kid) but what did you think of Sweetie? C'mon, I mean, SWEETIE!

And how will they cram all those lightning fast, freeze-frame required sight gags that are apparently so clever?

I wonder if Queen's early output is just to eclectic to put into any category. Lot's of it has a decidedly early metal feel, but then they go pre-new wave or all out show tuney. Queen is a genre unto itself. (RIP, FM)

God, I love Stewart's bit on Extras! "But of course by then, I've seen everything!" That man can sell any fucking line there is.

Wow, who's hatin on Dark City?? That movie's all kinds of cool.

Taymor is a goddess. Titus and Frida were genius but Across the Universe SUUUUUUUUUUUCKED.

Coffee Crisps are way better than Aeros!

Greedo shot first!

That was the brilliance of the first season. HRG was first painted in ominous, shadowy tones, then later as a fiercely devoted father. Never being quite sure where his allegiances lied made his story arc engrossing - provided that the writers knew which side he was on, picked one and stayed there.
