I must hear about this PFT/Scharpling fall-out. I was wondering why we'd heard nothing about their "Evil Genus" Comedy Central show after both were dropping hints that the pilot went over really well.

So disappointed that didn't make it into the Best Of at all. Dov Charney made me cry from laughter while at work. His second appearance this year wasn't as good, but that debut episode was AMAZING.

I've been deciding whether to watch the show week-by-week by skimming the reviews first, so I read this before starting to watch tonight:

To be fair, Consuela is based on a character from Todd Solondz's Storytelling. The writers probably think they're smartly riffing on how (arguably) offensive the character was in that movie, but don't realize how it comes off when 99% of their audience are missing that context and take her at face level.

10 points to whoever transcribes all of the voiceovers, including the overlaps.

If Canton's still connected to the government, his word that the Doctor's dead would spread amongst the world's leaders soon enough, wouldn't it? Considering how often they've depended on the Doctor's help, it'd be a big deal.

Not all of 5? It was the show at its silliest, but also its funniest. (Though I'd still go with seasons 1-2 as the peak of the show, for when they best mixed humor and pathos.)
