Way way too much plot although I like where it ended up. I laughed out loud at a lot of the plot developments. Couldn't believe they had Rhonda kill Vernon. After making such a huge deal about Lucious' homophobia, it disappeared pretty suddenly. I hated that Black Rambo scene too. Really stupid.

I thought Mimi Rose was meant to be some kind of commentary on how the world views Lena Dunham.
Ace's toothbrush drove me bonkers.

Ugh no. I can't stand either of them.

WWBD?

I thought that too. It seemed so improbable. And clearly Jamal had sex with her because he didn’t say it was impossible that she could’ve gotten pregnant.

He definitely seems more and more like the villain of the show. I wondered from the start how sympathetic he was supposed to be when he killed one of his closest friends in cold blood in the first episode, for something that seemed like he could have solved in a less violent, horrible way. Are they going to bring that

I enjoyed this episode but I was so annoyed with Jennifer Hudson’s completely pointless appearance. She did nothing but sing a little and act unprofessionally seductive (for no reason at all).

I enjoyed it more than others did, I guess. I give it a B-. I like Jason Isaacs and Anne Heche and the Jerusalem setting is interesting. I’m willing to watch another episode or two. Also I love conspiracies.
But…What most bothered me was the weirdly sloppy police work, primarily Jason Isaacs keeping secret the fact

I was thinking the same thing! I fully expected someone to have a hunting accident. We're scarred by Matthew's death.

You forgot Isobel marrying Lord Merton.

So much of this show is ridiculous but I was genuinely moved 3 times in this episode: the Remembering Sybil moment, the Carson/Mrs. Hughes engagement, and Robert forgiving Edith. Are they really going to let Tom escape Downton? Is that allowed? I was annoyed by Isobel letting those obnoxious sons get in the way of her

oh, you're right. She should've tossed the vial instead of pouring it out. But that would've been less dramatic, I guess.

I liked the finale but you made some good points about how little Peggy was actively involved. The ease with which Fenhoff hypnotized people bothered me too. All he had to do was say "focus" and rub his ring? Come on. I loved the parallels with the end of The First Avenger and Peggy on the bridge at the end. *wipes

I know everyone has said it, but I really couldn't believe it when they arrested Anna. Has Julian Fellowes just completely run out of ideas? I mean, come on, this is beating a dead horse until it's completely demolished. That was the only thing I really disliked in this episode.

Yes, suddenly Tony was not good enough for Mary after she slept with him. He seemed perfectly fine before that. I think this was a case of telling us rather than showing us.

OMG, yes. I was totally expecting him to say Marigold reminded him of Edith. The entire family's acceptance of Edith having a child out of wedlock is completely unrealistic, but especially Robert. At the same time, I was glad because I want something to work out for Edith for once. So I was happy that Robert accepted

I think Quinn is way too nice to be believable. Personally, every time he does one of these really nice things, I think 'really'?

Haha, I totally thought the same thing about the Doctor saying "in a heartbeat." I thought, does that mean he's lying, because he doesn't have one heart? hidden 1983 season FTW!

To me that's what makes him a more interesting character.

After reading this, I'm wondering why I enjoyed it so much. Although I'm definitely with you on Karen Cartwright and Jimmy Collins. I preferred Jimmy's friend.
