I feel like I have been a harsh critic of the show, but I thought this episode was really good

I actually enjoyed this

The whole "I have a girlfriend now" sub plot of Sam now just feels like they were trying to set up Sam's change from hunter to Man of Letters. He wants out of the life yet is still drawn to it, and now he found a role that could end his time as a hunter but not as a defense against supernatural forces. Which is too…

If the Men of Letters were defunct Bobby probably wouldn't ever need to bring it up.

It was an episode called Baby Doll back in the original artwork episodes, Season 3.

I believe the implication is the alcohol distribution is a legit business that is owned and run by a mob family.
