I thought the Hernandez brothers started out in the 90's. Oops.

Seeing it in the theater was my all time favorite film experience.

That's what I know him from too. I really surprised that wasn't mentioned.

If it were about that, she'd be on 24 hours a day.

I just looked it up. I'm really curious about it. I didn't look any further b/c I don't want to be spoiled anymore than I already am. :)

It really wasn't anything bad. She didn't discourage or shame fantasy reading or anything like that. And I doubt she'd do it to anyone else.

Oh, it wasn't anything serious. I guess I made it out to be more than it really was. I'm surprised at the comments, which means I obviously didn't communicate what happened all that well.

It was a reasonable thing to say. And fantasy actually isn't my thing. That's why I found it funny. Because I'm the one who's usually dismissing it. I guess "anti fantasy snobbery" was overselling what happened.

It wasn't that bad at all. I was thrilled to be discussing books with someone. And my feelings weren't hurt. I just found it a bit funny, since I'm the one who's usually dismissive of fantasy. So being on the receiving end of it was a bit ironic.

It wasn't a judgment of the person at all. But it did look that way, I guess. I was mostly making fun of myself, b/c I've often made fun of fantasy. I guess "anti-fantasy snobbery" sounded harsher than I intended it to be.

I continued A Clash of Kings, and I'm enjoying it. Like I said in another thread, A Song of Ice and Fire might end up being my gateway to geekery. I've never cared for fantasy before, but I'm digging this series. Ironically, I got my first brush of anti-fantasy snobbery from an academic librarian I was talking to this

I'm glad you said that, b/c when I was watching it last night, I was thinking it was an underrated gem. I even watched it again this morning. Oops.

You would be right.

Yeah, that was my least favorite gag in this episode. And I'm a big Smithers fan.

A Clash Of Kings. I'm surprised at how much I like the universe in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. It might even end up being my personal gateway to geekery. Fantasy was always a turn off for me in the past. But those elements are introduced so slowly, and the character and world building are not boring me in the

Darren Criss is an iffy one. Is his character Asian at all? They've made a reference to him looking Euroasian. But he had a very white brother in the form of Matthew Bomer.

*unsettling panicky feeling*

I guess I'm in the minority. The Beast with a Billion Backs was my favorite. But I didn't really like any of the other movies, and can barely remember them.

She'll be fine. She's always had smaller, low key projects on the side while she was on Grey's (theater, indie films). She'll probably continue on with that.

I remember just before they announced their divorce, Sandra Oh joked in an interview that she was lucky to end up in Sideways. Because he only made "white people movies."
