I agree with you. I watched it a few hours ago, and it just doesn't hold up well at all. The first act is great up until the point where Stampy shows up, and then it kind of goes to shit.

Absolutely, he was so gorgeous in that era. I didn't care for The English Patient but he was so damn perfect looking in it.
