@avclub-bca3531762af8a993c4f60c48fd5e33b:disqus  , George Takei was originally slated to play Leonard Nimoy's part in "Marge Vs. The Monorail". But he ended up not happening b/c of too many conflicts due to him serving on various public transit committees and groups. I guess he didn't want the episode to be anti train.

I'd vote for Alec Mapa in a heartbeat.

The Bernie Mac Show suffered from too many time slot changes, if I'm remembering correctly. I used to watch it (and I loved it), but it was the pre DVR/online viewing era, and it was hard to keep track of.

Yeah, it's great. I was going to post it if no one else did. I'm surprised it doesn't get quoted more often. Especially on the internet, land of the self-absorbed and unique. Or maybe that's why, it hits too close to home.

This is one of my favorite commentaries. I like it when they have a mix of voice actors, writers, animators, and Matt Groening. And Yeardley and Dan are my favorites on the commentaries from the main cast.

I came across this page today when I was looking something up. I'm rarely on snpp.com otherwise. I knew this one would be picked, it was too good. But on the other hand, I felt "spoiled".

I'm sure at one point the Sinbad show became funnier than the Simpsons, but not in 1993.

It's a fun, well done show. A smart show, but it doesn't have a whole lot of depth. But the main female character is smart and capable (maybe overly so), which is always a plus.

I doubt any of the bombs were his fault. But I do think the number of opportunities and chances he's given are out of proportion to any talent or skills that he has.

I think that's a great idea, really. By the time the movie starts filming, he'll be the right age. Most of the suggestions are too old, IMO. Aaron Paul could work though.

It's to be expected but it is sad news. Initially, I gravitated towards Wizard. But then I started buying CBG along with it, and ended up preferring it. And I loved the columns. I don't think I ever really looked at the price guide or anything like that.

Check the quarter bin at a comics shop. There's usually at least a handful of them.

A.) Thanks for following up on that and clearing it up. Most people here wouldn't do that.

This is pretty much what I expected from this film. I do look forward to seeing it though.

I'd love this. As of now there are 455 reasonable discussions and counting. That's definitely something.

The comments of the posters are making me feel a bit old. I didn't "grow up" with this show.
