There are definitely good points in its favor. The cast is actually decent, along with being gorgeous. Their chemistry works really well. I thought the show used NYC well. I loved the first season, and parts of others. Mostly, I feel there were a lot of wasted opportunities.

No. Nobody (including the characters) knows who Gossip Girl is. That's the central mystery, though it often takes a backseat. I doubt the writers even knew until they wrote the reveal. Kristen does a fantastic job with the narration though.

Really? I vastly prefer Heart of Dixie. And even then,  there are other shows that are so much better than GG. The Vampire Diaries (although it's declined *a lot*) and Nikita come to mind.
