Something taking place in another time period (or referencing it), isn't the problem. That's not what makes Seinfeld dated for me. I agree with what you're saying in general. I just don't think it applies to Seinfeld. There are plenty of shows and movies that are older than Seinfeld which feel more relevant to me.

I'll let you dislike Seinfeld. Because I disliked it too. It's easily the most overrated sitcom in T.V. history. I did find a few episodes really funny, but considering it ran for what felt like 25 seasons, that's not a good track record.
