I also thought those two were the best of the night (and the only ones that weren't absolutely terrible—god what a horrible, unfunny episode).

He broke out the fucking bo staff. If this kid didn't have to learn that for a film and actually studied the moves because he thought they were cool, he's a bigger dork than us AVC'ers anyday, abs or no abs.

Rage Against the Machine sing about hating the radio for different reasons than your list mentions: the conservative fear mongers who dominate the AM dial.

His music career
I was in San Diego this summer and found a discarded copy of the San Diego Comic Con souvenir program and was flipping through it when I noticed several photos of Miguel Ferrar in it. I wondered what his relation was to comics, but apparently he had none; he just played drums for some "all-star" band

Quien es mas macho?

Go Robo.

Hey, it's that guy from the Station Agent playing a porn star.

I liked this ep a lot, but that bit about him sexing four hospital employees while his love child was being delivered was beyond-over-the-top-not-funny, and something I'd expect to see on SNL, but not here.

This is true to the book, though. The overbearingly sacharine, sappy narration almost makes you glad that the girl is dead, except now that she's dead, she won't shut up.

I've been listening to a lot of Doom lately due to all the discussion on these boards lately, and Born Like this stands among his best—it's probably his most consistent album and he left out the half hour of bullshit interstitials that bog down most of his others, too (a few intros or outros or sketches are fun—a half

As far as DPs, let's not forget Sven Nykvist fer chrissakes.

No, Claire, I am fairly generous when it comes to this show, but you are right. This was a terrible terrible episode. The only things even slightly funny were the UPS ads, the idea behind the To Catch a Predator talkshow (but not the execution), and the sheer weirdness of the Nasa sketch.

Nice to see Rabin lift his head up from the bar long enough to chime in. I think it's intervention time.

I dunno, in my experience, it doesn't take much to rally the troops against management.

I spent an awkward teenage summer at Pam's a Bitch Camp in upstate New York in the late 80s. I didn't get the girl, but my cabin redeemed themselves in the softball tournament at the end.
