The episode where Sam was kidnapped was much more disturbing. As I recall, the man who kidnapped Sam did so because he had a son that died and kidnapped Sam as a "replacement" child for his wife. And he kept telling Sam that if he told anyone that he was kidnapped, he would kill Sam's family.

I guess Mel Brooks wouldn't let them use "Sharknado 2: The Search For More Money."

Re: Tony Head - he was supposed to play the part in "Much Ado" that Clark Gregg ended up playing. He had to drop out at the last minute, apparently.

I doubt there's sequestration for eliminated contestants on this show like there is on Survivor (really, what would be the point?), so I'd imagine it's basically whoever they can talk into coming back after being at home for a few weeks. They brought back the Flavor Elevator last season, and he was useless, so clearly

For some reason the work Hughes did seems to get dismissed by a lot of the Lampoon biographers. The coffee table book that came out a couple years ago (Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead) ignored his work completely, save for a couple unflattering remarks about him as a person.

Christmas Vacation gets my vote.

And I thought "A Futile and Stupid Gesture" did a pretty decent job of telling the Lampoon story as it related to Doug Kenney - I certainly enjoyed it more than Hendra's book.

I feel like I watched it on my RealPlayer.

Harold Ramis directed Caddyshack, not Doug Kenney.

According to "Wired" (the Woodward book, not the magazine), this story was going to be the next Belushi-Aykroyd team-up (with Louis Malle directing).

I'll do what I like because I'm six foot five and I eat punks like you for breakfast.

The Led Zeppelin story, told from the point of view of the fish who they…

AIDS? What's that? Freddie just has the sniffles.

In the Queen-approved version, Freddie dies saving a puppy from a burning building, after making love to several beautiful ladies.

This isn't even a poor man's ZMF; it's barely a poor man's LexG.

I thought the Generals were due!

But betting on soap operas is OK, though, right?

All I know is, that fishing trophy is mine. Eat it, 2 Tuff Tony!

Vanilla's there every year.

They seem really, really drunk in that video. The fat one calling the skinny one "Fats" about a minute in was a bit of a giveaway.
