I can totally understand why this woman might not be everyone's cup of tea but I like her music a lot. It might help that I saw her first in a festival setting with no prior knowledge and it was just so odd and glorious I couldn't help but like it.

I just read that for the first time! Just an amazing book. I can't believe it isn't required reading in high schools. Well yes I can. But still.

I just read The Autobiography of Malcolm X which is co-written by Alex Haley. I thought that was weird but I guess it is a thing. Great book too by the way.

I live a few blocks away from a beer bar that has 30 taps. Its pretty bad-ass and they often don't really know what they have.
The downside? I'm in the smallest, most conservative part of Western Michigan's most conservative area. It takes a lot of beer to get by.
