I always sort of hoped he'd start his own label or go on something small where he could release all kinds of lo-fi awesomeness and not give a shit. But I might've been thinking of 1994 or something when i was hoping that.

While I enjoy and respect Sea Change it is not my Beck favorite record. It is pretty but it is also (as someone else in the comments here said) sort of oppressive to listen to.
This sounds just like that last Will Oldham/Dawn Mccarthy record, only shitty.
I have not. And thank you.
Well I just had a great time reading this: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/…
I've always meant to check out the cartoon version of Redwall from the library just to see how they handle the issue… oh look, a wiki! http://redwall.wikia.com/wi…

thanks! I always wanted that rat-kindom book too, and found that to be pretty disturbing or confusing when I was younger.
I have always been bothered by and attempted to figure out what the deal is with the scale in the Redwall universe. What's up with that shit???
I want to see this movie.
I thoroughly enjoyed Chronic City.
I am jealous of everything happening in this thread. I saw the Wilco/Dylan/My Morning Jacket set-up.
I did catch a Bonnie Prince Billy show in Detroit a couple weeks ago and had the misfortune of standing in front of some incredibly obnoxious men who clearly very strongly disliked will oldham (yet were at the show of course). They loudly criticized every single song and also sang along loudly.
I am also interested in hearing more about this.
I do not care for her music. Thanks for asking!
trying this again… I think last time it didn't post as a reply or something.

Saugatuck Dunes State Park is a beautiful way to visit the beach, there's a cool/creepy old mansion ear there too called the Felt Mansion. If you like beer you should probably make the trip to Founders in Grand Rapids too. Or one of the other many breweries around here.
Sand Bar saloon is my jam! glad you had a good time!
Taye Diggs
they should all come to Grand Rapids
